My Journey: From Dreaming About Modeling to Living It
People often see the final photos, the campaigns, the polished videos, and the glamorous side of modeling. What they don’t always see are the early mornings, countless castings, rejections, self-doubt, and the determination it takes to keep going.
My journey into modeling wasn’t backed by connections or a clear roadmap. Like many aspiring models, I started with a dream and a lot of questions. I had to learn everything from scratch—how to build a portfolio, attend castings, communicate professionally, and navigate an industry that often feels overwhelming when you’re just starting out.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with fashion, lifestyle, jewellery, and e-commerce brands. Every project taught me something new—not just about modeling, but about discipline, confidence, and resilience.
One thing I quickly realized was that many aspiring models struggle because they don’t have access to the right information. That’s what inspired me to create Model On Board, a content series where I share honest insights about the industry, practical tips, and lessons from my own experiences. My goal is simple: to make the modeling world a little less confusing for those who dream of entering it.
Difficulties of A Dusky Model
As a dusky Indian model, I’ve also learned the importance of embracing individuality. The industry is changing, and authenticity matters more than ever. The qualities that make you different are often the ones that make you memorable.
Today, I’m still learning, still growing, and still chasing bigger goals. Every casting, campaign, and conversation is a step forward. My journey isn’t just about becoming a successful model—it’s about creating opportunities, building a community, and helping others believe that their dreams are possible too.
And this is only the beginning.
